Hello there! compliments of the season. It's indeed a brand new year. 2021 is a bundle of joy of joy delivered by the hopes and dreams of 2020 and previous years after months of pains and travails. It has long been expected long been awaited for and we are glad it arrived safely. This new born baby year, like every new born baby needs the colostrum of your visions and planed action, backed up with the knowledge of your "God" if strength and exploit is desired in this year. Also as tradition requires in this part of the globe, I guess you elderly mother-in-law of role models, mentors and counsels are already present to give this new born year a soothing "Omugwo" (Baby bath) and that's just by the way.

My name is Ehi Jeremiah (Ehijay or just Jerry) and it's with joy in my heart that I welcome you to the maiden episode of Jaytalk podcast.

Jaytalk Podcast is a faith and reality podcast that seeks to shed more light on the issues that shapes our reality and faith. This is going to come your way in form of reality tidbits, spiritics and bible tour all followed by poetic expression.

Reality tidbits is a collection of brief but concise counsels and insights from the lives of other to help in understanding and dealing with real life issues. Spiritics is an exploration of dynamics of the spirit and bibletour is an exploration of the world of the word of God to draw insights from the works in that world to guide our walk in this world.

Before going further, I would like state that the reason why I am undertaking this project is not because those who had spoken, been speaking and still speaking on these matters have not spoken or been speaking well but rather, I am speaking because of this understanding that each and everyone one of us is created to leave an impression on life, to make a statement on life. We are masterpiece meant to express the an aspect of He who made us in different ways. We are created to bring a perspective to life, to add a lesson to life and it is a compendium of these that gives life it's full meaning and make it better as time goes on. Life is a question thrown at us to which each of us we must give an answer and Jaytalk podcast is one of my answer to life's "Why?".

Elihu in Job 32:17-18 probably had this  understanding when he said  "... I will answer also my part, I also will shew mine opinion. For I am full of matter, the spirit within me constraineth me".  ISV rendered verse 18 as "I’m filled with things to say, and my spirit within me compels me to speak." He spoke after the three wise old learned men had spoken out of their vast knowledge and experience, not because he was more knowledgeable nor had more experience seeing that he was just a youth but because according to him in verse 8 of that same chapter 32, he said that "there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. He spoke based on an inspiration given to him by the spirit within him; the same kind of spirit within us. And that will the basis on which I will be speaking through this podcast so help me God.

Now talking about faith and reality, a few people I discussed this idea with advised I stick to either faith talk or reality talk, on ground that the concept of faith and that of reality are opposite to each other. But the objective of bringing them both together is aimed at creating a balanced view of life.

Life is all encompassing. Consisting of the material and immaterial, the real and ethereal, the tangible and intangible. Beyond the physical is the metaphisical which the faithful refer to as the supernatural. Beyond the normal is the paranormal that which is also refer to as the spiritual.

Reality is relative. What we accept as reality or as true is influenced by our cognitive abilities. It is ok to say that what can not be recognized or perceived is unreal because we know in part we see in part. For our knowledge is only in part, and the prophet's [Scientist's, Philosopher's ]word gives only a part of what is true: (1Corinth. 13:9, BBE).

Still on the realities of life, life is real, not ideal. It is full of surprises and tends to leave us in misery with its sudden changes. The realities of life is that it can't be figured out. No one can say he has figured out life. We don't own life and apparently don't control it. It is given with conditions we can't seem to remember when we agreed to it's terms and can be taken.

Life is a mystery like he who gave it. But that doesn't mean we should live through it in misery seeing that we can't seem to fully understand why certain happens at certain points in our lives and how they go about happening.

Life is a parables, there is more to it than what we think, feel, see or hear. There is more to life than breathing in and breathing out to aid this beating heart and other activities taking place due to it beating. These more is what gives life a meaning. Like every parable, life doesn't seem to make sense at face value. When you take the lifestory or testimonies of others about life at face value, it may sound like a lie. It is a result of taking life at face value, that made some people come to a conclusion, that there is no being in existence called God. In essence, there is a deeper meaning to everything going on in and around us, there is message behind story, behind every event.

Everything happening around you, in you, to you is life trying to communicate something to you or something through you. Something that will inspire someone, instruct someone, correct, rebuke, teach or motivate someone. I hope to share these with you through this podcast in subseqent episodes.

Everything going on in life is geared towards aiding the development of our knowledge and faith in what/who controls life and how to meander through life's maze.

Talking about faith, The realm of faith has been subjected to series of debate in modern times. Dr. Ekstrand said that it is only when we walk through a number of challenging experiences in life that our faith grows and takes on significant substance, strength and stoutness. Beliefs stems from experience, your unbelief does not annul some else's experience.
