The social media has been a washed with the trending #10yearschallenge; a picture-mix with pictures of various individuals from 10 years and now, showing how much they have changed.

From the series of posts and tweets from celebrities and others, you will notice varying degrees of changes in their facial looks, body sizes and shapes, personalities and even fashion sense.

This trending social media 10yearschallenge has one very big message to pass and that is ‘’where we were is not where we are and will certainly not be where we will be in years to come’’.

I know there are still things we want to achieve, heights we wish to attain, personalities we strive to become but yet to be and it is depressing especially, when we look at how far those we started together have gone ahead of us. The mere fact that we have come this far and still alive is enough to tell us that are still chances we can make it, even if we didn’t end up getting there, we should be contented that at least we moved; that we were not stagnant.

To many who proudly joined this trend, where they are today is far beyond where they ever imagined they would be. To these, it is a thing of great joy to see how tremendous their lives have change for good. To others, where they presently are, is behind where they thought by now, they would have been but are grateful for how far they have come and it will be wrong to assume there exist none that had a regressive change over the period of the last 10 years who will definitely not join this trend. Irrespective of which, change is inevitable in life and you cannot live for 10 year without experiencing change in one or more aspect of your life.

For those who are presently in a very tight position; who seem not see any rational way out, losing hope and at the verge of giving up. let this reflection of where you were 10 years ago and how you came to be where you are today though, not where you wish to be but to a certain extent, better; raise your hope for a better tomorrow unless, you are convinced that it was all by your might but for me, all I see is grace.
